IRBM Introduces e-invoice Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (SVDP)
The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) has introduced the e-Invoice Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (SVDP) to encourage taxpayers to voluntarily regularise their e-Invoice compliance.
Effective from 7 July 2026 to 31 December 2027, this programme provides taxpayers with an opportunity to voluntarily disclose and rectify past e-Invoice non-compliance. Where the disclosure is made in good faith and complies with IRBM's requirements, no e-Invoice compliance review or enforcement action (including imposition of penalties and prosecution actions) will be taken in respect of the disclosed e-Invoices.
